Keeping Our Nepali Language
Alive for the Next Generation

Our Story: A Struggle Every Nepali Parent Knows

"बाबु, कस्तो छ?"
"Uh… good?"

If this sounds familiar, you're not alone.

For many Nepali parents living abroad, keeping our kids connected to our language and culture feels like an uphill battle. Life moves fast—school, activities, and English-speaking environments make it difficult for kids to learn and retain Nepali.

We tried everything:

Frustrating DIY lessons after work ("Let's practice alphabet... again").

Chaotic weekend classes with other exhausted parents.

Guilt as English replaced Nepali at home.

But let's be honest—it's hard. Most of us are not trained teachers, and weekend community classes aren't structured enough to ensure real progress.

We faced the same struggles. That's why we created Kakaaki—a dedicated online platform for learning Nepali, where your child can speak, read, and write Nepali fluently with expert teachers from Nepal.

🌍 No matter where you live, your child can now learn Nepali in a structured, engaging, and effective way!

Our Mission

Connecting Generations Through Language
We believe language is more than just words—it's a connection to our roots, our family, and our identity.

Help Nepali families abroad keep the Nepali language alive

Ensure children can speak, read, and write Nepali with confidence

Make learning Nepali fun, interactive, and structured

Support native teachers in Nepal, giving students the best experience

Our Vision

We envision a future where every Nepali child, no matter where they live, can communicate effortlessly in their native language.

Stay connected to family in Nepal—talk to grandparents & relatives without struggling.

Build a strong cultural identity—feel proud of roots and heritage.

Develop bilingual skills—proven cognitive and career benefits.

At Kakaaki, we're building a global community of Nepali learners. We started with Nepali, but in the future, we hope to offer more languages and cultural programs to keep our heritage alive.

"Teaching my daughter Nepali was harder than I thought..."
Father of Adeeti (15) and Pranil (9), moved to the USA in 1997. Tried teaching Nepali at home, library visits, community classes— but realized we needed trained teachers and structured lessons.

Enrolling his daughter in an online Nepali class changed everything. Her progress led to launching Kakaaki, so every Nepali child abroad could have the same opportunity.
