Kakaaki Terms & Conditions for Students/Parents

Safety: Kakaaki is committed to providing the safest environment possible for your child. All of our sessions are monitored and open, and you can login to the session any time to see how the classes are going on.
Teacher’s Conduct: Teachers are expected to always speak and interact respectfully with students. They should never speak in a manner that demeans a student. Under NO circumstances is a teacher permitted to verbally reprimand a student. Teachers are expected to be engaged and attentive during the session.
Student’s Conduct: Students are expected to login and be active during the entire session and receive instruction from their teachers. If a student routinely demonstrates behavior such as refusing to take instruction, distracting others in the class, the teacher may require a parent or guardian to sit in during the lessons.
Student Level: Teacher will determine the appropriate level for the student based on teacher’s assessment of the student.
Fees and Billing: Invoices are emailed at the end of each month for the upcoming month depending upon your payment plan that you have selected during signup.
Payments: Payment is due at the first lesson of the month. A 5% late fee will be charged if payment is not received by the 15th of the month. Payment can be made from Kakaaki.com using paypal.
Cancellation Policy (Discontinuing Lessons): Kakaaki requires 2 weeks notice if a student wishes to discontinue lessons. Notification must be provided in email to info@kakaaki.com. The termination date will be determined two weeks out from the date of written notification.
InformationAbsentee Policy: No make-up class will be offered if a student misses a class given the curriculum/flow of the class. Students are responsible for completing the week’s homework.
Network Related Closings: If a lesson is missed due to the network connection of the teacher not functioning for any reason, we will coordinate with the teacher and the students for make-up class. If it cannot be arranged for any reason, the tuition for that session will be refunded.
Holiday Closings: There will not be classes during Dashain and Tihar.
Substitute Teachers: The School may use substitute instructors to cover for teachers who must have missed lessons. If a substitute teacher cannot be arranged, monthly fees will be prorated (reduced) to reflect the missed lesson.
